For what percentage of your day would you say that you are aware of your thoughts?
A great question which, when posed to my self-aware friends and colleagues, generally elicits the response that they have never been asked that before.
Which is interesting.. as that question would have to be the basis of self-awareness – right?
In yesterday’s Thursday HotSeat, the Member who was in focus is a passionate best-selling author and mind strength coach for children. She writes books that teach children how to think about what they are thinking about so that they can imagine, dream, achieve and succeed in their lives.
How amazing to lay the foundations of self-awareness and choice early on, so that they can develop that muscle as they grow, as like many good habits, it takes practice to get really good at it.
So going back to the above question, what percentage of your day would you say that you are aware of your thoughts?
Whatever your number is, it’s the perfect starting point from which to progress and increase the amount of time that you spend in self-awareness.
And this is important, because if you’re not creating the program.. by being aware of your thoughts, and choosing ones that suit your preferred state of being and outcomes, you’re in the program.
It’s worth some thought..
