Yesterday’s session was Exponential Possibilities, with house-futurist Craig Rispin. As always, Craig did an amazing job of illuminating the path to AI implementation, tailored for each Member’s business, and explained the rapid and exponential evolution of AI, which is still underway, and not looking like slowing down any time soon (currently on track for 150x increase in capabilities over the next 12 months).
The evolution of ‘no code’ options to create automated workflows is what many have been waiting for as it enables everyone to now dream up and create AI agents to carry out tasks that they would normally have taken care of. And additionally, for the new possibilities and methods for creating efficiencies which haven’t previously existed.
This is a drag and drop, non-technical way to get things done and changes the landscape again considerably, in terms of being able to harness the value of AI automation, without the need for specialists to create and implement processes.
Make.com is a popular example of a ‘no code’ platform where automations can be built and implemented, and is one which Craig recommends for non-techs to get started with. He shared the strategy he uses to support the in-house implementation of AI through large and multinational companies, which begins with watching some videos about the chosen platform (EG Make) to gain some understanding and education about what is possible.
He then recommends kicking off with a 2-hour learning session of tutorial videos to get a good start in understanding (Make has its own academy which walks beginners through exactly how to build their first automated workflow), followed by a few minutes every day of watching or practicing something related, and then 1 hour minimum a week to implement the learning and move forward with building the first automation.
In Craig’s experience, once people have completed their first workflow, them and their teams will be inspired to create many more; and from his experience, most are then approximately 30% automated within 90 days from using this approach.
The advancement in AI capabilities is rapidly bringing tech solutions within easy reach of those who haven’t had the expertise, or the motivation, to facilitate this level of automation previously. As such, the possibilities for leverage and efficiency are more profound than they have ever been, and it’s perfect timing to get on the wave to expand our thinking and benefit from what is now possible.
