Yesterday’s Thursday HotSeat session highlighted how doing the internal work creates shifts in our external experience. The Member in focus shared that he had had some profound shifts after a recent Boost Call with me; based on a few tweaks around owning his masculine edge and being a “Man on a mission”. This had resulted in immediate changes in his personal and professional leadership, and his marriage.
A similar change was reflected in another Member who has recently stepped up to a new level within his business and had owned the change within himself, resulting in an elevated version of himself running the show, with much more focus and determinism. The difference in how he was approaching and dealing with things was very apparent. “Like a Boss!”
Within the Club, we focus on both personal and business growth, and it could be easy to consider these as two separate things without witnessing the real change that is created on the outside, by doing the work on the inside. This article on The ‘inside out’ leadership journey looks at how personal growth directly links to effective leadership, particularly now, when the more staunch and intimidating CEO figures of the past are no longer an ideal that most people resonate with, and the emergence of AI and other factors, which are also shaping the core attributes of successful leaders.
Personal growth and transformation are essential to being and remaining an effective leader both for ourselves and our teams. The ability to self-reflect is crucial for discernment and direction, not to mention making the journey a whole lot more fun, enjoyable and fulfilling.
