In yesterday’s Thursday HotSeat session, the Member in focus took the opportunity to put a couple of different situations on the table for the Brains Trust to work with.
As well as getting support with some aspects of his business, he shared about a situation in his personal life that he was finding was now affecting how he was at work. He spoke about an unresolved family situation involving his little brother, which had come back into play recently, which was on his mind.
It’s valuable for all of us to venture outside of the more obvious business discussions, into areas which are more personal. After all, as leaders in our companies, anything that affects how we feel has a direct relationship to our business operations.
The honest sharing delivered a valuable session for all, with myself and the Brains Trust offering support, wisdom and tools to enable a shift in perspective for the Member in focus and an appreciated path to moving forward.
It’s a great thing to share camaraderie on a depth where no topics are off the table and it’s a testament to the awesome culture we have within the Club, that nothing is off limits.
I know we are all capable of getting things done on our own to a high degree, but it’s way more fun, fast and fulfilling to share the journey together in this way 🙂
