In yesterday’s Investors Forum we covered a lot of ground, including private programs, investment in AI and tech companies, thoughts on the current markets and suggested areas of focus.
With many different risk profiles, favourite asset classes, experience, and investing ethos in the room, there’s always diverse perspectives and an opportunity to be exposed to fresh information.
The idea of impact investment was also mentioned, in terms of activities that generate returns whilst leaving a legacy for future generations by funding targeted innovation and human development projects. This is a truly win-win scenario, providing a whole host of benefits to all of those involved and elevating what might usually be considered purely financial gain, into something much more inclusive and expansive.
We then finished the session with a reminder that the best investment we can make is of course in ourselves. Based on who we are in the Club, any discussion about investment wouldn’t be complete without this foundational piece which shapes our perception of ‘wealth’ and supports real abundance.
After all, it is through us that our experience of life and business is possible and perceivable.
