The Happy Unlearner

Friday, 14 August 2026 by Leigh
Early on we sat with an idea that changes the size of the work. There's a finite number of concepts we hold about who we are, and a good many of them aren't true. Finite, rather than endless.

Letting Go of What Is Not True

Friday, 07 August 2026 by Leigh
One of us built himself a meditation. He wrote the whole thing out, worked with an AI tool to shape it, then recorded it in his own voice so it played back as though someone else were guiding him. The finished recording runs forty-two minutes. He told us he loves it once he gets right into it, and that he does not do it as often as he would like. Then he repeated what he knew was true, which was that he had probably been too ambitious.

Running Through Brick Walls

Friday, 24 July 2026 by Leigh
One of us said something this week that I felt was valuable to share. Describing how he had always operated, he said he was used to running through brick walls and fixing up his broken nose after the fact.

The Luck We Practise

Friday, 17 July 2026 by Leigh
We opened this month by going around the room with a simple question, who here considers themselves lucky. Every hand went up. Then I asked who feels time-free, and who feels financially free, and the show of hands thinned out. That difference is worth sitting with, because the only thing separating the first answer from the other two is a belief.

The Story We’re Telling Ourselves

Thursday, 09 July 2026 by Leigh
In our latest Growth HotSeat, we kept returning to a question that sounds simple until it's turned on us. Is it the actual circumstance in front of us that causes the disturbance, or just the story we've quietly decided to tell about it? The Architect of the Illusion

Thursday, 21 May 2026 by Leigh
In our latest Growth HotSeat session, we confronted a startling scientific reality that challenges how highly experienced leaders operate. We frequently navigate our business days under the assumption that our eyes and ears provide an accurate, objective feed of the world around us. We believe that the difficult client, the struggling team member, or the complex market shift we are looking at is exactly as it appears. However, our discussion highlighted that relying on this biological feed to dictate our internal state keeps us reacting to an illusion of our own making.

The end of the overlord

Friday, 13 March 2026 by Leigh
In yesterday’s session, we acknowledged a necessary evolution. We are moving away from the "Titans" and "Thursday Hot Seat" session names; a shift that reflects our desire to be more finitely focused and to stay in the lane where we belong.
