Have you ever had the experience of hitting up against a glass ceiling where there’s seemingly nothing stopping you from moving forward, and yet you’re just not getting there?
Perhaps procrastination, avoidance or distraction creeps in around a specific task or direction, even though you know that path will yield the results you desire?
In yesterday’s Thursday HotSeat session, we took a closer look at a tool that we use in the Club to support our movement beyond glass ceilings and to allow expansion and acceleration in situations that previously may been a bit sticky.
From my experience, the impact our subconscious programming and past experiences have on our nervous system, and therefore our ability to forge ahead on our chosen path, is generally underestimated in business (and life). I understand the preference for using mindset, determination and drive to ‘just get it done’, however, in most cases if there is internal resistance (or it could even show up looking like external difficulties) which are slowing down or even stopping particular actions from being taken, there are subconscious reasons for it and therefore an opportunity to clean up and remove what’s causing the resistance.
This can be anything from guilt over past perceived failures, and fear of history repeating, to beliefs or ways of operating that we’ve inherited from our parents which are not conducive to getting to our intended destination. For example, if you have taken on a subconscious belief that you have to work hard for money, it’s not difficult to imagine how that might make it harder than necessary to cut down your work hours and have more fun, whilst making more money at the same time.
What we’re talking about here is really a version of the famous Henry Ford quote “Whether you think you can or think you can’t you’re right”. Except in this case, we’re not talking about our conscious thoughts, which with practice and persistence can be largely trained. We’re dealing with subconscious programming, which is firstly, and by definition, below our conscious view (meaning we may not know it’s there), and secondly is usually backed up with proof of past experience or perspective and so cannot be simply changed through affirmations or positive thinking without first cleaning up the things that hold it in place.
I have studied many modalities over the years that address subconscious programming in different ways, and we are now blessed to have access to what I believe is the most effective and efficient way of identifying and releasing subconscious programming that is available.
Although it is dealing with our system on a metaphysical level to correct imbalances, it is also a highly systemised process. The Doctor who developed it had previously been a computer programmer and set about his work with the human body and energy system from the same perspective; that of it being like a giant computer. This allowed him to produce a step-by-step process which is followed the same way by all practitioners and provides a strong framework to deliver exceptional results.
The message here really is an acknowledgement that if things are not flowing easily, with forthcoming results, there’s a possibility that the reason for that is hidden in a blindspot outside of our conscious awareness and that it can be handled quite simply using proven processes.
As business leaders it’s refreshing to think that the solution is not always that we need to do more, be more, or push more to get things done. It’s quite often letting go of that which no longer serves us which makes the greatest difference.
